Experienced Maintenance Worker

Job Description: 


We are looking for an experienced full-time maintenance worker based in Shepperton and the surrounding areas, to carry out a range of work, including general repairs, maintenance, painting and decorating, fencing and plastering within both commercial and domestic properties.

An ideal candidate must have experience in building maintenance, handyperson work, or janitorial duties; a good understanding of health and safety requirements; a proactive approach to maintenance and building management; a full UK driver's license; and flexible working hours.


Duties:

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs in residential and commercial properties;
  • Handle various tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and plastering;
  • Fabricate and install fixtures, furniture, and other items as needed;
  • Respond to service requests in a timely manner and provide excellent customer service:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other maintenance staff when necessary;


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance person or in a similar role;
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and delegate tasks;
  • Proficient and proven experience in various trades such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, and plastering;
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Ensure your personal safety and that of others at all times.
  • Record works and expenditures in an appropriate manner.
  • Use vehicles, equipment, and materials safely and in an approved manner, performing the requisite checks.
  • Wear suitable workwear and/or protective clothing and equipment as required.
  • Perform all tasks in compliance with the provided Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
  • Comply with COSHH assessments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients;
  • Live within 5 miles of Shepperton, Surrey;
  • Own a full, valid driving license and own a vehicle;
  • Be reliable and committed to work following company rules and schedules;
  • Right to work in the UK;


We offer:

  • 42.5 working hours per week contract.
  • A salary between £30K-40K for the right candidate with proven experience
